MTK6795 is available for mass production

Processors from Qualcomm are mostly adopted by some flagship smart phones in market. For example, the new XiaoMi Note mobile phone will adopt the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU. Mediatek, the competitor of Qualcomm is most aiming for middle and low end market, but recently, it wants to move to high end market. And its latest MTK6795 is the CPU for high end market.

Similar as Snapdragon 810, this MTK6795 is also coming with 4 ARM Cortex A53 and 4 Cortex A57. Frequency can be 2.2GHz. It can support a 20M pixels camera and LTE Cat 4 network. The max download speed is 150Mbps. The max upload speed is 50Mbps. This chipset adopt the 28nm process technology.

As we know, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 adopts the 20nm process, and support LTE Cat 9 and max download speed can be 450Mbps. But recently, news said Snapdragon 810 has the problem of overheating for working. Its availability may be delayed to second half of this year.

But this MTK6795 is already available for mass production. And soon we may see the smart phone with this processor. So which will be the first one. Let's expect it.
