This morning, there is one another tablet pc from PIPO released. This new tablet is also adopting the latest RK3288 quad core chipset from Rockchip. Following the PIPO P1 which is the firstly adopting RK3288, PIPO released several similar tablets. Today, I will share this new tablet, PIPO P9 with you all.

P9 is the upgrading edition of M9pro. Last year, PIPO M9pro is one of most popular tablets in Spain by its high performance. And this P9 is much more powerful than M9pro. First, the CPU is RK3288 quad core. The performance is much better than the RK3188 which is adopted in M9pro.

RK3288 is the latest product from Rockchip, we have done several test and compared it with RK3188, the result, the performance is nearly 80% enhanced. This RK3288 is based on Cortex A17 framework, and 28nm engineering technology, the frequency is 1.8Ghz.The GPU is the Mali T764. Compared with the Mali 400 MP4, the performance is enhanced by 500%. So this P9 can run some big 3D games very easily. More important, RK3288 can support H.265 decode by hardware. If you want, you can output the HD video to your HD TV at home.

This P9 comes with one 10.1 inch IPS screen, the resolution is 1920*1200 pixels, the same as the M9pro. PPI is 224.

Compared with M9pro, the cameras built in are also enhanced. The front camera is 2M pixels, and rear one is 8M pixels. The M9pro comes with one 5M pixels rear camera.

For now, it is not available for sale, and the price is also unknown, we will let you know more information about it in near future.

Today, one news was disclosed on ontablets.es. Microsoft is scheduled to release the Windows 8.1 Update 2 for the Windows device. More important, the information of new Windows 9 OS will be available at that moment as well. As estimation, Windows 9 will be released in Oct or Nov.

As news from Ontablets, the new Windows will be defaulted to be started to Destop, but the Start interface, and also more Metro elements have been integrated into the new OS. In Windows 9, users can start Metro apps or games in new window or in full screen. As we know, the Android 8.1 is not so welcomed by users since the interface is quite similar as Windows 7. Now, this new Windows 9 will change this situation soon.

Till now, there is no further news about Windows 9 OS. We believe next month, we will have more information about it, we will share it with you all at first moment.

This morning, Panasonic released one new tablet. This unit is special for education market. The model number is E3. This tablet looks very strong and durable. Today, let's share this unit with you all.

This E3 is special for kids aged 2 years old to 12. The unit comes with one temperature detector, and magnifier. When you open the rear camera, it can work as a magnifier. You can see from the picture. Except that, there is one S pen in the packing as well.

The unit comes with one 10.1 inch IPS screen. As it is for kids, so the resolution is not too high, only 1366*768 pixels. The CPU is the Intel Atom Z3740D quad core chipset. The RAM is 2G. Flash memory has two edition, one is 32GB and one is 64GB. The operation it runs is also special for education, Windows 8.1 Pro for Education. Unit has already been pre installed some useful educational apps. It can support wifi, bluetooth, Intel WiDi, HDMI etc. As the flash memory is not big enough, there is one Micro SD card slot on the unit to expend the memory as well.

E3 is also certified by IP51, so it has a good performance of anti dust and water proof. Except that, we have made a drop testing up to 70MM, unit can work fine after testing. Till now, there is no further information about it.

Panasonic did not disclose when this E3 will be available for sale, and what is the price? So if you are interested in buying one for your kids, then you need to wait a bit longer.

Yesterday afternoon, Onda hold its new product conference. In the conference, Onda has already shown us some new tablets. The highlights in the conference is the Onda V819 and Onda V989. Many blogs about tablets has already exposed the news. But most of them did not mention the other two new tablet with Windows operation system. Here I would like to show you these two new tablets pc with Windows OS.

The first one is the Onda V975W. It reminds me of the other unit, the Onda V975I. Difference is Onda V975I adopts the Android OS. The other firmware specification is the same. You can refer to the specification of Onda V975I, I will not repeat here.

Second one is the Onda V819W. It is the Windows edition of Onda V819I. The other specification is also the same.

Both units adopts the new Windows 8.1 OS. In the conference, Onda has let us know some features of the OS. First is the Office Suit. Most of tablets with Windows 8.1 OS has already own it. The second one is the OneDrive cloud disc. People can upload the data to the cloud disc. The other unique feature is its Smart Restaurant OS. Users can reserve, order and check out, calling service on the tablet. It may help the restaurant to reduce the staff, and managing cost.

In fact, it suggested one new way of tablets. If tablets can help enterprises to reduce the cost, I think it will be more welcome than now.

After Microsoft acquired Nokia, Ontablets has exposed the news that Microsoft will abandon the Nokia brand name. As news, Microsoft will get the authority of Nokia brand name very soon, and in future, the Windows Phone will be put "Nokia by Microsoft" on body. And Microsoft will also change the brand name of Surface tablet to Lumia.

Now, Miscrosoft is planning to remove the Nokia brand name on its Lumia smart phone. Once Microsoft gets the authority of the brand name, the usage of Lumia brand name will extended 18 months. And for Nokia X smart phone, the brand name will also be used till Dec, 31st, 2015. Nokia Asha smart phone will keep on using Nokia brand name in future 10 years.

As we know, Microsoft has invested a lot of money on its Surface tablet, if the news that Lumia brand name will replace Surface is true, that is quite a strange and shock news for us.

Now, everything is not settled, we need to wait till Microsoft acquire Nokia completely.

Two weeks before, we have introduced one tablet from Amazon with the Firefly function. This function is opened the third party. And today, Ontablets got the news that the well known online store, Flipkart from India will release its tablet with own brand names. The tablet comes with one feature quite similar as Firefly.

The tablet can recognize all the stuff sold on Flipkart, and provide information of other stuff according user's action. Deal can be finished within several minutes.

But some people are quite doubting the future of this tablet. From the tablet sales datasheet, we can see, now, the smart phones with big screen has already started to take place of tablet.

By investigation, the first quarter, the total sales volume of tablets in India is 750 thousand pieces, it is 17.5% less than same period last year. Accordingly, the sales of smart phones with big screen increases a lot in the first quarter.

Last week, Amazon released its first smart phone, Fire Phone, it becomes with the first online store which owns its own smart phone.

Last month, we have shared some information about the tablet owning rate in China. But for special men, the situation may be different. Today, Ontablets made a investigation for the IT practitioner. The result is much different as the previous investigation. Today, let's see the result.

In this investigation, Ontablets totally sampled over 3000 IT practitioners, 54.3% have already own a tablet, this number is much higher than ordinary people. Among those peoples, iPad has taken 51.1%, ranked 1st. That is not amazing. But the 2nd brand name is not Sumsang, but Microsoft Surface tablet which has taken 22.4%. Sumsang ranked 3rd which owns 10.2% users, and Lenovo is the 4th one, taken 4.1%. Yuandao is the 5th, its share is 2%.

As we know IT practitioners always like the new stuff. So among the 3000 IT men, 29.4% of the people sampled have already owned a tablet for over 3 years.

Different with other people, IT practitioners care the operation system most, nearly 51.1%, the second one is the weight, it takes 39.1%, and the third one is the price. Of course, battery capacity and brand names are also the aspect they will consider when buy a tablet.

As they are mostly the professional staff, so their suggestions may be a good reference to you.

This morning, Allview, one company in Romania confirmed that they will release two new smart phones running Windows 8.1 operation system, except that, they will release one new tablet with Windows OS named Impera I8.

Today, we will talk about this Impera I8 tablet. This I8 tablet adopts one 8 inch IPS screen, the resolution is 1280*800 pixels. The CPU is the Intel quad core one, the frequency is 1.83GHz at max. THe GPU is also the Intel HD. RAM is 1G, there is one 16G flash memory space. The operation system is Windows 8.1. It owns dual cameras, the front one is 2M pixels, and the rear one is 5M pixels.

The price from Ontablet is 205 euros. Basically, this unit is quite an good tablet, but the price is a bit higher comparing with other similar tablets made in China. For now, Allview did not confirm the release date, people who are interested in it can wait further news which will be updated here.

In the Comutex 2014 trade show, Dell released two new tablets with Android OS, Venue 7 and Venue 8. Today, both units are available for sale on ontablets.es.

Venue 7 and Venue 8 are both running Android 4.4 Kitkat operation system. First of all, let's see this Venue 7. It comes with one 7 inch IPS screen, the resolution is 1280*800 pixels. The viewing angle is very wide, and image quality is also excellent. The CPU is the Intel Z3460 dual core, the frequency is 1.6Ghz, that is one 64 bit chipset. That means its running speed is nearly doubled than other dual core chipset in the market. Except that, it has one 16G flash memory, and the weight is only 291G.

Following, let's see this Venue 8 tablet. The screen size is 8 inch, and the resolution is 1920*1200 pixels. Compared with Venue 7, the image quality is much better. Except that, the performance is also better since it adopts the Intel Z3480 dual core chipset. That is also one 64 bit chipset, the frequency is 2.13Ghz.

Both Z3460 and Z3480 were both released in the WMC conference this year. We have already share some information about them.

Regarding the price, the Venue 7 is 160US dollars, and Venue 8 is 200 US dollars, both are quite cheap.

The Google I/O conference is coming. There are many news on internet saying the Android Silver will take place of Nexus tablets, and even Google indicated that the Nexus 6 will not be available. But we still have the chance the own the next generation Nexus tablets.

Today, news from Ontablets, HTC will have one new 8.9 inch Nexus tablet which is named Flounder.

This tablet comes with one 8.9 inch HD IPS screen, the resolution is 2048*1440 pixels, and 228 PPI. The CPU is from Nvidia Tegra K1 quad core, and 2G RAM. The flash memory has two different edition, one is 16G, and one is 32G. Regarding the dual cameras, the front one is 3M pixels, and rear one is 8M pixels.

The looks of this Nexus 8 is quite similar as Nexus 5. You may have a question, Google will abandon Nexus series, but why it releases one another new unit? As the information we know, the new Android Silver smart phone may be available till 2015. That means Google needs something else to fill the blank during the year.

This Nexus 8 may be much more expensive than ever. As news, the 16G Nexus 8 will be USD399.00, and 32G edition may be USD499.00. The LTE edition is much more expensive, may be USD600.00

This Nexus 8 will be made by HTC as well. We can not make sure this unit will be shown on the coming I/O conference, but it should be available for sale at the end of this year.
