Three weeks before, Google released its Android Wear OS for smart wearing device. But just within the three weeks, the apps for Android Wear OS have already exceeded Google Glasses. But Google Glasses has already been released for over one year.

Android Wear OS was released in the 2014 I/O conference. Though, Google Glasses is also one smart wearing device, but different with smart watches etc, Google has a very strict control on the apps development. Yesterday, Ontablets has already showed us one octa core chipset from Mediatek. Today, Media hold a conference in China, and claimed that there were two new chipset.

The first one is the MTK6595. This chipset will be available for production at the third quarter of this year. This is the first octa core chipset with 4G LTE network in the world. It adopts the ARM big.LITTLE framework, integrates four Cortex A7 and four Cortex A17 chips. The max frequency is 2.2GHz. It can support 600Mhz PowerVR 6 series GPU. Regarding the network, it can support 5 different standard, including TD-LTE, FDD-LTE, HSPA+, TD-SCDMA and EDGE.

Except the high performance on running speed and networks, this chipset also can support 20M pixels camera and HDR function, it can decode H.265 Ultra HD videos by hardware. A 4K resolution video can be played by this chipset. Regarding the screen, it can support 2560*1440 pixels at 60fps. Except the video, this chipset can work 24 bit 192KHz HI FI audio as well

After tested by one third party software, this chipset wins 47000 scores. Till now, it is the highest scores among all chipsets adopted by smart phones in the market.

The other chipset is ths MTK6795, that is one 64 bit octa core CPU. This chipset will be available for sale at early of next year. This chipset adopts eight Cortex A53, max frequency is also 2.2Ghz. Regarding its detail specification, we will let you know when it is available.

When we are expecting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, Mediatek has already released two powerful chipset. They are very powerful. So do you think the Snapdragon 810 will perform even better?

Now, Android OS and iOS is the two major operation system for tablets or smart phones. But there are other good OS as well, like Windows, Chromebook. But as most chipset suppliers don't have any chips for Chromebook OS, so the price of a tablet with Chromebook OS is always very high, over 200 euros here. Though, the price is not too high, but compared with Android OS, Chromebook does not have any advantages. But as the latest news from Tabletofgps, the price of tablet Chromebook will be reduced, may be less than 200 euros in near future.

Regarding, Mediatek which is one well known chipset suppliers in China started to add a code into Chromebook OS, maybe that means it starts to work out a solution for a Chromebook OS. Though, the performance may be not as good as Sumsang or Intel chipset. But as Mediatek chips is always very cheap, so we can expect its tablet will also much lower than now.

Till now, Mediatek does not confirm this news, but it is quite true that Media will move to Chromebook OS. Not long before, Ontablets has already disclosed one chipset for Chromebook OS from Rockchip, but the release date is unknown for now.

Anyhow it is also a good news for us. Users can have more choice on different operation system now.

Nowadays, your smart phone and tablets becomes more and more powerful than before, but the battery capacity is still one big problem for users. Now, most Sumsang smart phones adopt its own CPU, but for some high end products, Sumsang still relies on Qualcomm a lot, especially the 4G network. But this morning, Sumsang has showed Ontablets its first chipset integrated with 4G network. The model number is Exynos ModAP. This chipset will reduce its dependence on Qualcomm.

This Exynos ModAP is based on 28nm engineering technology, and provide solution for 4G LTE network connection. This chipset can support different LTE standard in the world. So the smart phone with this chipset can be used in worldwide, and surf internet easily.

Except, Sumsang also decided to adjust the existing app system, the app store will change name to Galaxy APPS.

This morning, Ontablets provided one news to us about Surface Mini tablet. The Surface Mini is in production again, and may be released in this summer.

But from other resources, we know that this Surface Mini will not be available in this summer since now it is waiting the Modern edition Office suit available. But as estimation, the Modern edition Office will be only available at 2015. So the Surface will be available in 2015.

Surface Mini will come with one 7 inch or 8 inch IPS screen. The packing has already included the S pen and holders. The CPU is the Qualcomm Snapdragon. The operation system is Windows 8.1 RT OS.

As the news from Russia, now Russia National Defense is trying to develop one tablet for its army. This tablet is named Rupad, which can protect confidential away from hacked.

Today, one well known facility in US released one forecast report about tablet in 2014, and 2015. The report suggested that the sales of tablet pc in 2015 will surpass PC. This morning, Ontablets disclosed one another new smart phone from Nokia, the model is Lumia 1525. This unit will be sold by T-Mobile. As schedule, Nokia will release the update edition of Lumia 2520.

The latest products from Sumsang, like Galaxy Tab S etc are all adopting the AMOLED screen which is developed by Sumsang. Many people comment the super AMOLED very high. But some professional staff say the screen is too colorful to be true. Ontablets also had the same opinion. But recently, when we tested the latest Sumsang Galaxy Tab S, we found the problem is nearly resolved. The screen is still very colorful, but looks very nice. The Tab S adopts one QHD Super AMOLED screen. The color reproduction is very "accurate". After tested by professional software, the color reproduced is very nearing to the real SRGB.

In Galaxy Tab S, there are three different color mode: Cinema, Adaptive, and Basic. When in basic mode, the color reproduction is very good. The color temperature in this mode is about 6750K, and the real color temperature is 6500K. The average color deviation is also very low. You refer to the following picture.

After improving the problem, in my idea, the Super AMOLED is performing better than the Retina screen adopted by iPad.
