Sharp launched a new screen for smart watches

When Apple launched the iWatch, people care about battery life a lot. But Apple did not say too much about it. And as the result we tested, users have to recharge the iWatch everyday, just like other smart watches in the market. As we know, the battery life is one big problem for smart watches. But don't worry. Today, Sharp has launched one new screen panel which can reduce the power consumption a lot, and extend the battery life a lot.

Sharp said, now it has already one 1 inch panel available. Its power consumption is about 1000 times less than other screen adopted on smart watches. Now, the screen is not available for sale. But it will be available within next year.

So why it can reduce the power consumption a lot? That is because it does not adopt the back lights. It uses a lens to replace the back light. Though it can reduce the power consumption, but it can not be used in a very low light source. So it can be only used in daytime and out door devices.

As Sharp said, it will launched more screen panel with low power consumption in future. Now, smart wearing device is just starting, so in future, there is much improvement on the battery life.
