What is the tablet screen PPI?

If you read the instruction manual of your mobile phone, you can find there is some parameter of PPI. So what is PPI. What does it mean? PPI means pixels per inch. Jobs said the Retina screen should be one with over 300 PPI. And the PPI of the iPhone4 is 330PPI. Maybe you have no idea about how is the definition of the 330PPI. I will take an example. Usually, the screen of a PC is about 72PPI to 100PPI. That means the screen definition of iPhone is about 4 times of a PC screen. So if you buy a mobile phone or tablet online, you can not check out the screen definition yourself, then you should pay attention of the PPI and screen resolution, not only the resolution. If the screen is big, and even the resolution is high, maybe the definition is not so good, since the PPI is low.

Of course, the higher the PPI is, the higher the power consumption will be. But personally, I love high PPI screen, since you can see every detail clear. Especially when you play some big online games, the feeling will be much better.
